San Diego Mesh Working Group Monthly Meeting

There are several mesh networks sprouting up in and around San Diego County.  As a way of gluing these efforts together, Gene Swiech, WB9COY, has arranged for Qualcomm to host a monthly meeting for the San Diego Mesh Working Group.  They will be held on the second Monday of each month beginning November 10th, from 7:00 to 9:00pm at 6455 Lusk Blvd, in Sorrento Valley.

There is exciting progress being made in the area, so if you have a local mesh running, are looking for ways to connect to others, or are interested in getting a mesh started then come out for this meeting.  Each month we plan to have interesting discussions on design and building techniques, as well as reports and advice from local BBHN Core Team members who are designing and building them.

Other So. California mesh groups are also welcome.  I hope to see you all there.

Andre, K6AH

That's great news! I have had more free time lately, and I am glad to see all the progress that has happened with the Broadband-Hamnet in San Diego. I added the next meeting to my calendar!

The San Diego group will be meeting again on Monday, 12/8.  Due to building security, we will be gathering in the lobby at 7pm and moving to a conference room at 7:05.  If you are not in the lobby by 7:05, then send me an email at callsign@arrl.net and we'll have someone let you in.

My request was rejected by the server. Seems like there is still some residual effect from the infamous ARRL.net alias fiasco some months ago (they got hacked and the domain was blacklisted due to some dysfunctional behavior, emails bouncing etc.). Can you please re-invite me to join the Working Group, but this time use a different email address: NSixJO@yahoo.com I hope I have not missed any important announcements on the Google group. Hello all,

My name is Gary KK6YKC and I have recently setup a mesh node (WRT54G) in Imperial Beach I was wondering if there is a map of the mesh network that way I can point my antenna to the closest node and connect up. Also what SSID and Channel and is there anything else I need to connect. Many thanks
