Any opinions?  I know the Serval Project is going at mesh networking a little differently, but this idea of a router married to a transceiver has merit.  The transceiver provides more power and frequency flexibility.

How hard would it be to do that here?

If I heard correctly when this subject or one just about like it, you are mixing the types of articles under the FCC and could end up with non-hams using equipment that they are not licensed for and could end up with problems.
