What filename should we be looking for on the Software Download page? I can't find anything relative to 1.0.0.  Am I looking in the right spot?!

I discovered a problem when I tried to install nano on a node and the install reports no space on /. I also tried to install joe with the same results. The node status page shows free space as flash = 584K /tmp = 7064KB memory = 3480KB. df -h through ssh reports free space as 6.9M on /tmp, 584K on /jffs, and 0 on /. I have verified the same results on a WRT54G v1.1, a WRT54GS v2.0, a WRT54G v3.0, a wrt54G v4.0, and a WRT54GS v2. All with the same basic results, just slightly different numbers due to the differences in memory. I verified the behavior in patching up through 271 after an initial 269 flash and a direct flash to v1.0.0, and both before and after power cycling after the upgrades.

I am a bit confused as to the best way to upgrade to 1.0.0.  Would it be easier to reset the router to factory default and use the model specific flash file or use the upgrade file which has a different file extension?  I would be doing it from Windows.  Also does 1.0.0 now support Ubiquity or is that still to come?

As always, corrections welcome.  I'm not part of the development team.

There is some practical discussion of installs of v1.0.0 beta on the Beta 1.0 firmware forum.

In theory, there's no advantage to going back to factory firmware.  Just install the .trx file if you have a router with a 0.4.x version of hsmm.

The only difference between .trx and .bin is a few bytes of header info that convinces the factory firmware the firmware is legitimate and lets it load.  After install of either one, the state of the router should be the same.

Ubiquiti "support":

You will have to figure out how to load OpenWRT on the Ubiquiti and configure it yourself.   This is not an easy task. 

Once you do that, appropriate Ubiquiti or other types of hardware should be able to join a mesh network.  The important change is that BBHN no longer uses the olsrd secure plugin, so it will connect to any  properly configured wifi device. 

When I say "it's not an easy task," I am making an understatement.  The is no precompiled, preconfigured image to load.  The hsmm-bbhn aware web interface will not be there on your Ubiquiti node.  You'll have to figure out the OLSR setup.  You'll have to manually do a lot of the stuff such as IP addresses that the hsmm mesh/BBHN system does automatically on the WRT54G routers.  Plus several other cryptic and non-obvious details the BBHN package does for you.

BTW, I have not configured a Ubiquiti device to BBHN, and would probably have to work at it for a LONG time with lots of help to do so.

By the way, if you have a working internet connection on an existing HSMM-Mesh 0.4.x router, you can upgrade it to Broadband Hamnet from the administration page on the mesh node itself.  You don't need to go to the software download page and download the files to your PC.

Refresh the firmware download list and "bbhn-1.0.0-brcm.trx" will be on the list.
