Hi there;

Just started on my first Linksys Router (WRT54g V3) and installed the previous firmware, Now tried to upgrade but had problem to upload the new firmware file bbhn-1.0.0-wrt54g.bin at administration menu and gave me this error message." Firmware cannot be updated the upload file is not recognized"

The current version installed is 0.4.3, any clue about how to fix the problem.

you need to use the file with the .TRX suffix to upgrade existing MESH firmware


.BIN files are for model specific updating of OEM firmware. Once MESH firmware is on the node, then use the .TRX file

Thanks for the info do you mean to upload the file bbhn-1.0.0-brcm.trx on my WRT54G that has the previous version.

That is correct. "Upload" the bbhn-1.0.0-brcm.trx file from your PC to the router.

If the mesh node has an internet connection, you can also install the bbhn-1.0.0-brcm.trx file directly under the download firmware section.  Hit "refresh" and then the bbhn-1.0.0-brcm.trx file will be in the select firmware list.  "Download" will then install the .trx file.
