Hello all,

I have an AirGrid M2 HP. In the interface for the node there are LAN, WAN, and WiFi as shown in this image.

Node Information

Since the device only has ONE ethernet port where does WAN go? At the moment I have the LAN port connected to my pfSense firewall/router so that I can access the network advertised on that port. The AirGrid doesn't have Internet access. From reading the Help it seems this is due to the fact that the device doesn't have a WAN port.

Anyone know what I need to do to correct this?

Thanks!

The Ubiquiti devices normally have only one network port. The process to split signals to different uses is handled by the VLAN. A special network switch can split the signals into separate uses similar to those labeled on the WRT series. You can see a discussion of that here: http://www.broadband-hamnet.org/hsmm-mesh-forums/view-postlist/forum-18-how-we-used-hsmm-mesh/topic-1021-ubiquiti-radios-and-providing-internet.html

In addition, all content (including forums) is now available to search by using the search box at the top of the page.

Check the release notes:

http://www.broadband-hamnet.org/download/firmware/ubnt/310/release-notes-3.1.0.pdf

On the sixth page (the pages aren't numbered, jeez) read "DMZ and LAN Port Distinctions".

Granted, description of fundamental functionality is NOT something that should be buried in the release notes.  In fact, it ought to be visible on the config screen.  For example "WAN (VLAN 1)", or something similar.  But user documentation is not a strong suite of this project.
