DTD on linksys was disabled in v3.0.0. The linksys ports stop recognizing some devices with dual use of DTD and LAN on the same ports. DTD was disabled as a workaround for now.

To enable:

http://ubnt.hsmm-mesh.org/products/BBHN/wiki/HowTo/Enable%20DTDLINK%20on%20Linksys

If after tuning on DTD, you have a device that linksys stops recognizing, then edit the /etc/vlan file to only include a given port in DTD (vlan2) or in the LAN (vlan0 or untagged), but not both.

I did edit the Linksys node as described. Still no joy.

line number 7 states I should delete a line from the network file. This did not appear in the file.

If this line “option auto no” does not appear in "/etc/config.mesh/network" as shown below, then it is likely the firmware version of bbhn you have loaded is not v3.0.0.

config interface dtdlink

option ifname "eth0.2"

option proto static

option ipaddr

option netmask 255.0.0.0

option auto no
